Re: What are my chances?
Very poor. You'll need the right combination of (1) ties; (2) excellent LOR's; (3) judge and/or clerk graduates of your school; (4) luck.Anonymous User wrote:What are my odds at getting a district court clerkship?

Re: What are my chances?
this is an imperfect science, man. your chances are bad, but trying to quantify them makes no sense since there's so much randomness in the process. whether you get an interview with a particular chambers could literally depend on whether the clerk spilled his coffee on your resume (and thus felt compelled to throw it out instead of recommending a dirty resume to the judge).Anonymous User wrote:Very poor like 10%? 5%? if you want to clerk, you should apply broadly since it's costless on OSCAR and near-costless via mail.

Impossible to quantify and depends on who you apply to. I'd guess much less than 1% in California.Anonymous User wrote:Very poor like 10%? 5%? Less than 1%?
