Take a look at the Judicial Fellowship program. It's unpaid, but you get to do the same work as real clerks, and you don't even need to be barred. The website mentions that Fellows sometimes go on to do real, paid legal work. My good friend from undergrad took a Court of Common Pleas Fellowship, got to know a number of local family law folks, and is now working at a small but well-known local firm for a salary. He tells me that the unpaid nature of the work is more than worth it in terms of networking opportunities. I should note, however, that he had actual legal experience during his 1L and 2L summers.

Yeah, I've heard of that program. Seems like it has a good track record of getting people FTLT legal gigs.Anonymous User wrote:Take a look at the Judicial Fellowship program. I have extensive internship and pro bono experience in family law, child advocacy, and domestic violence. After the clerkship I see myself doing Legal Aid or small firm.

Now that the budget issues have been resolved, Governor Wolf's office sent out a notice today soliciting applicants for 15 Pa Court of Common Pleas judicial positions. Applications are due April 15th. There should be 15 clerk positions opening soon.

Hi all,
Where is the notice/list of new clerkship positions that are available based on Wolf's Order? I couldn't find the information online. Thanks.
