2015-16 Term Clerks general discussion thread
Some have already started and some are about to start. Figured we needed a thread for all the stuff on-topic but unworthy of a new thread (or necro-ing an old thread).

Starting my SSC a week from tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm very excited, but I'm sad to say goodbye to the easy lifestyle that accompanies being a student. I worked more than a decade before law school, so just about every day since I quit to next Monday has really been great.

Anyone else surprised by how much you're enjoying your clerkship? I thought I'd like it, but I'm even enjoying learning about areas of law I thought would bore me. My judge is fabulous, and everyone in the chambers is great. I'm at a flyover D. Ct.

Checking in. About to submit my first big msj rec memo. Hoping I'm not way off! I've been working a couple weeks now, and I've found the learning curve to be steep. I have a career co-clerk, but I'm the only term clerk. Sometimes I wish I had another rookie because I feel like an idiot sometimes.

I feel lost a lot of the time, but I've got a fabulous career clerk who's a great mentor. My judge is also very accessible, and I talk to him about issues if it's warranted once I've run them by the career clerk. I can't believe how much I've learned already.
