CCN + v10 ... chances?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Aug 09, 2015 10:55 pm

3.6 at CCN (obvs not Chicago). Secondary journal. Year in at a V10, NYC.

Can I get an Art III clerkship? Honestly don't care about prestige at all. I would actually quite like to go to a random district in flyover land--but I don't know how easy that would be given lack of ties.

I mean, you could definitely get an A3 clerkship somewhere, but why do you want to do this? What would you like to do afterward?

Thanks for the response.

In reply: Presumably go back to the same firm. I would eventually like to work for a small law firm. I mostly would like to do it because it sounds like a good experience, and I am likely not competitive for the more sought after districts. I also don't necessarily want to stay in NYC, but it is my home market.

I think you're definitely competitive, and it doesn't even need to be for a flyover. Apply for EDNY and DNJ judges that require work experience for 2017.
