Chicago Clerkships (7th Cir. / NDIL)

It seems they move slightly later than comparable big cities, especially at the district level. Still, any news?

Am wondering this as well. Certainly seems to be the case as there are even still a few 2015 opportunities apparently available. Anyone?

Any idea how many she interviewed? I got an interview but no offer, and am wondering if I really screwed up.

That can't possibly be true. I bet a bunch of N.D. Ill. like Feinerman and Chang are more than done at this point.

I know of two people with NDIL clerkships (not sure which judges). Also, Sykes has filled her Chicago clerkship spot.

This is disheartening. Any info on Bucklo, leinenweber, or this john lee development?

Only like two NDIL judges have used OSCAR (feinerman and Kennelly). Should I just be sending in paper apps to basically all of their chambers, since they are evidently hiring, or no? The miscommunication is astounding.

Looks like some of the 7th circuit might be gearing up in the next month or so. Williams just posted and Flaum via OSCAR says he is hiring next month. Any non-OSCAR indicated, actual movement for any 7th cir judges?

Just FYI, but if you're set on a federal clerkship in the Chicago area, you might look at N.D. Indiana. The Hammond courthouse is literally a five minute walk from the Illinois border, and a 25 minute drive from the South Loop. We knew more than one couple where one spouse was clerking in Hammond and one was working in the city, and the clerk's commute was shorter than the non-clerk's.
