2016 Clerkship Hiring
It looks like many top COA judges' hiring is now in full swing. In my chambers we're already giving out offers, and many of the promising rising 2L candidates have a number of interviews with other feeder-caliber judges. It looks to be total chaos. Get your apps on NOW, folks!

Asked this elsewhere, but, OSCAR or just unsolicited mail apps. I'm going for D. Ct. and not New York so probably less insane, but still.

Don't wait for OSCAR. Things went crazy this year. Many judges were full before they even had a chance to post positions on OSCAR.newlawgrad wrote:Asked this elsewhere, but, OSCAR or just unsolicited mail apps. I'm going for D. Ct. and not New York so probably less insane, but still.

Question:
Judge I really want to work for has a posting up for 2015 and not 2016. I'm would not be able to clerk for him/her until 2016. Worth it to send an app now and note that I am applying for only 16-17?

Not to belabor this - but even if judges have populated Oscar for 2014 or 2015, just go ahead and send paper as even if they are going to post to Oscar, it may be too late (especially for a middle of the road candidate such as me)?Emma. wrote:Don't wait for OSCAR.
