Asking for post clerkship employment
I'm May grad who is going to be leaving the five attorney firm I'm at in two weeks to begin a state supreme court clerkship. (Post-graduation I've stayed at the firm as a law clerk). I do not have a position lined up for post-clerkship, but would like to return to the firm I'm at. (I got clerkship shortly after I started at the firm during the school year, so they were not in a position to offer me anything at that time due to the fact that they had not seen my work product). I'm pretty close with the managing partner, FWIW. Any suggestions for how to approach asking for a position when I have a final meeting with my boss? Thanks!!

Ummmm.....why wouldn't you just express interest in returning to the firm after your clerkship? The answer seems so obvious that I wonder if I misunderstood your question.Anonymous User wrote:I'm May grad who is going to be leaving the five attorney firm I'm at in two weeks to begin a state supreme court clerkship.
