When to start applying for clerkships/what are my chances?

Top 12% at a school in the 35-50 range. LR & RA for a prof in the fall. I really have no idea about the clerkship process works, particularly the application timeline. Also, like the title says, what kind of clerkships should I be applying for? Thanks!

Check sticky'd threads at the top and the compilation of the different threads. That's a good starting point. Don't have a good answer on the when to start applying though. I'm assuming you're a rising 2L.

Thanks, I will do. Yep, I am a rising 2L, if anyone else has any advice on when I should start getting ready to apply/getting LORs.
