District Court dress code (especially for women)
I'll be clerking for a district court judge next year and I'm wondering how much suit shopping I'll have to do. For district court clerkships, is wearing a suit every day a requirement? Can women get away with a bit less formal (e.g. suit dress with jacket, or suit skirt with blouse and sweater)?

Re: District Court dress code (especially for women)
There is a topic mere posts below yours dealing with this very question: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=227593.
Short answer: it depends on your judge, but if you have to be in the courtroom/interacting with the parties, wear court-appropriate attire (so if your judge doesn't have strict dress policies to begin with, keep something nicer in your office).
