Undergrad Transcripts

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Mar 09, 2014 12:13 pm

When entering your undergrad information into the OSCAR system, how important is it to know the professor's names? MY undergrad institution does not list professor names on the transcript and I cannot remember most of my professor's names (outside my major). I filled in the names I can remember, but about half the transcript is blank for the names. Am I correct in assuming that what really matters is the class name and grade? Or do I need professor names as well? Should I go with uniformity and just put no names? Or just keep it the way it is with the name I can remember?

It doesn't matter. Just make it uniform, so no professor names for your undergrad transcript.

Just out of curiosity on this topic, is it okay to submit an UG transcript to those judges who don't require? My UG transcript would probably help my overall application (difficult major/classes/curriculum), but at this same time I don't know if that will be viewed as ignoring directions.

I'm not sure your transcript would be necessary - aren't your UG major and GPA already on your resume? Would the transcript really add anything, if not requested?

I suppose it really wouldn't add much TBH. I got a little thrown off because on OSCAR even when the judge doesn't require an UG transcript (or "UG grade sheet"), it still gives you the drop down list option of including it. But I suppose that if the judge doesn't specifically list it as a requirement on the left side of the "build your application" page, then there's just no point of including it.
