Video Conference Interviews?
Which judges allow for this? Any thoughts or stories?

I interned for a judge who interviewed someone this way. Not sure if she hired him or not, to be honest. I don't think it's very common, though.

I did a video interview with a COA judge in the South. It was fine, though in-person would obviously have been preferable.

FWIW, I did a less-competitive southern district court clerkship interview via Skype and got an offer from it.

I did an EDTX interview this way. Thank God because I was having problems finding flights to eastern Texas that worked and didn't cost a ton. I got the feeling that all interviewees outside the area did it by video, because an in person interview wasn't even offered. I didn't get the job, but I landed a different clerkship.

I had to fly out to EDTX and did not get the job. I wish a video interview was offered. This is not the same judge I hope because I obviously had to pay a lot on late notice.Anonymous User wrote:I did an EDTX interview this way. i did a midwest flyover district ct. interview this way. it's a little awkward (talking over people, can't really read them, etc.), but i appreciated the gesture as i had school things that interfered with their desired dates.
