Boudin will be taking senior status later this year. I'm not sure if or how that will affect his hiring situation.

Anyone know anything about Torruella? Is fluency in Spanish required (located in Puerto Rico)?

No. (1) Even though he's stationed in PR, he doesn't hear any more appeals from PR than the other circuit judges, (2) everything filed in D.P.R. has to be filed in English, and (3) most PR residents, from what I've heard, are bilingual anyway.

Me too. For what it's worth, in addition to taking senior status, I notice that Boudin has withdrawn from consideration from a number of cases after oral argument. Not sure what this means in practical terms, if anything.
