Right but if you did not get an interview by now, you should give up hope right?

The odds of more interview invites going out are not zero, but they are pretty slim.

I feel like this has become one of the most competitive clerkships in the country

Does anyone have perspective on what sort of credentialing VCL looks for?

Weirdly noone from my school has ever clerked for him

This is still how they pick clerks from the general applicant pool (like 80%+). There are a few caveats to this practice, including for applicants that have only applied to one judge.

Then back to the original anon post, it is weird to hear that some offers were already made. Any insight? Are you saying the offer that was made was because the applicant only applied to one judge? If so, I can tell you for certain that's not true.

Quoted anon here. I wrote that there are a *few* caveats. I’m not going to get into the others because they’re not really gameable by future applicants.

Are any of the judges still conducting interviews? Or are they all finished?

My guess, interviews are done. Maybe there are a few stragglers here and there but for the most part I would expect this week we hear back.

anon clerk, please don't leave us hanging. I'm curious about this too.

*avatar theme music* Only the anon-clerk, insight with this crazy process could help the applicants. But when the world needed anon-clerk the most anon-clerk vanished.

Anon clerk here. I suspect the people who got interviews but ultimately weren’t selected will get rejection letters.

Not anon clerk, but assuming offers would be by phone and rejections by email (pretty standard).

Do you know what's standard for timeline between interview and offer? I.e., how long after interview can you assume an offer won't follow?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
