As in you got an offer/rejection or just according to OSCAR? Asking because I interviewed.

from our clerkship office: while some DDC judges have given offers, seems like most have not even started interviews yet.

From what I've seen, the conservative wing other than Friedrich hasn't started on 2022 yet.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 5:13 pmfrom our clerkship office: while some DDC judges have given offers, seems like most have not even started interviews yet.

Nothing to add in terms of judges, but it's been tough trying to stay positive while getting no interest from any judges. Hopefully there's more movement in the next week!

Trying to maintain zen but it's tough. I applied very specifically in line with my stats, networked, did just about everything I could do to be competitive and yet I can't get a bite from anyone. This is such a frustrating process.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 6:30 pmYeah I stopped being zen by dinnertime Tuesday.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 6:22 pmNothing to add in terms of judges, but it's been tough trying to stay positive while getting no interest from any judges. Re: 2021-2022 Clerkship Application Thread
I think the "reading period" of the plan may have given us, including myself, unrealistic expectations. The reading period made it almost sound like clerkship hiring was going to be like OCI -- a quick series of interviews over a compressed time period. This might be true with some judges, particularly feeders, but I don't think it's true for most of them. I think we are playing the long game.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:06 pmTrying to maintain zen but it's tough. Also, I think we need to remind ourselves that having the opportunity to even seriously consider a federal clerkship is a pretty big accomplishment. This requires good grades from, typically, great schools. Most of us are probably better off than 95% our law school peers who either have worse grades or attend less-prestigious institutions.
That's at least what I tell myself while I wait and am disappointed to not have seen a lot of movement.
