I know its not "no" until its no, but has anyone here ever actually received an offer after a month of silence following an interview?

Re: 2017-2018 Clerkship Application Thread
Yes–I got an offer almost 6 weeks after my interview. However, the judge hadn't made any other offers for the term I interviewed for (though I obviously didn't know that at the time) during the intervening time. If the judge you interviewed with has made other applicants offers for the same term you interviewed for, it's probably not a great sign, and vice versa.Anonymous User wrote:I know its not "no" until its no, but has anyone here ever actually received an offer after a month of silence following an interview?

Re: 2017-2018 Clerkship Application Thread
I have a friend who received an offer after 3 months of silence. To build on the previous point, some judges tend to make offers on a rolling basis while others like to interview a batch of candidates then hire a "class" together. If you're one of the first interviews in the latter situation, an offer after a month wouldn't be crazy.

Anyone know hiring preferences/timeline of Judge Srinivasan (DC Circuit)? I know he's accepting apps.

I'm not sure about his preferences (beyond top schools, top grades), but I know he hired at least two clerks for 2018-19 back in the summer, so I would suggest moving quickly if you're interested in that year.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know hiring preferences/timeline of Judge Srinivasan (DC Circuit)? re: J. Pryor. Has she ever hired a male clerk? I know the sample size isn't large yet but I want to know if I should even bother trying.

IDK what "bother trying" is supposed to mean. You waste maybe 30 minutes on a decent cover letter and maybe 2 bucks in postage depending on how you send it. If you're sending other applications in, you should send one to her also. Don't be discouraged! You can do it!Anonymous User wrote:re: J. Pryor. Has she ever hired a male clerk? Yes, she has hired and does hire male clerks. That was a weird question.

It's tough, but happens to top students who apply locally and broadlylawman84 wrote:How often do students at non-t14 schools get clerkships?(Fed CoA or District) I am just starting the process but I'm kind of worried that I'm just pissing into the wind here.
