Does anyone who has clerked in SDNY know of any former clerks who are not T14 and not from a NYC area law school? I'm just curious if T1 (non-NYC) -> SDNY is even possible.

Thanks for all the replies. My takeaway is
As a transactional guy, I really can't understand why you would WANT to clerk. You take a 65%+ pay cut so you can work on something mostly irrelevant to your career and gain a credential nobody really cares about in your field.

OP here. Well, to be honest, transactional is just what I came out of OCI with. I wanted litigation, and my lifetime career goal is to become a state or federal judge in my home state. I wasn't about to turn down my only BigLaw option because of that, though. I figured clerking would be a way to build litigation back into my practice profile before working at a smaller firm where I could be a bit more of a generalist. I realize that this, too, is probably unrealistic.
