Whoever had the "good source" on Riley- does that source know if Riley's done hiring or not, or where he's at in the process? Much appreciated.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:any kelly or Riley movement?
Kelly is interviewing but I don't know if she has made any offers yet.
I've heard from a good source that Riley will be interviewing later this month.

Re: 8th Circuit
Not that source, but he interviewed applicants last week. He told the interviewees he wouldn't be making a decision until at least this upcoming week, but one of his clerks indicated it might be even longer because of how busy they are.
No idea if he changed his mind and already hired someone, though!

Re: 8th Circuit
Could someone chance me? I'm very interested in the 8th due to local ties. Top 20% from t20ish law school (not in 8th circuit), law review, good letters. Just curious whether I should spend the time applying or just focus on district courts. Thank you!

Re: 8th Circuit
I'm not sure anyone can chance you because these things are so unpredictable. But it won't hurt you to try. I'd say your chances aren't good because top 20% from a non t14 school isn't ideal for a COA clerkship. But it still is worth applying. And maybe seeing a recommender can make a call or if your school has any connections to current/former clerks.Anonymous User wrote:Could someone chance me?
