Or interviewed? Know how long of an interview day they plan?
I applied - they aren't hiring at the moment.
Aren't hiring at the moment as in not looking at apps yet or aren't going to be hiring this cycle?
The latter.

Another weekend, another wait. The uncertainty of all of it is exhausting. Oof.

Can someone with more experience on the topic speak to how hiring committees usually work? Is it usually one person who makes the case for/against the candidate? Or would they hear from and care about everything all the interviewers would have to say? If you know you hit it off with an associate during the interview, how much weight would that carry vs hitting it off with a partner?

Yes, I'm at the rampant speculation phase of this process, thank you for noticing.

K&E NYC emailed chambers today about a clerk reception February 16. So looks like they are just starting to consider candidates. Hopefully other firms are on a similar timeline.

Milbank sent recruiting email to chambers this morning. It's not clear which offices they are hiring for.

Dist. ct. clerk the northeast, if that matters.

Offer from Covington DC this morning. Interviewed about a month ago.

Top 1/3 at T10 (MVP), 1 year at a different big law firm, d. ct. in secondary coastal, and COA (non-2/9/DC).

I applied to CA and DC. The rejection thanked me for applying to multiple offices and then rejected me across the board.

It's small enough that I'd rather not (at least until afterward). I'm sorry.

On a separate note, our chambers received a Keker solicitation today.

Other than changing markets, what's a good reason for not going back to the firm you summered at?

Better clerkship bonus, better benefits, more lifestyle accommodations.

Speaking of better clerkship bonus, what firms are above market there?

All I know of are Susman (80k), Quinn (75k), KHHTEF (ridic).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
