DCt judges usually have numbers on the district web page; for COA, you could call the courthouse, or check this thing called the Judicial Yellow Book, which lists all the contact info. Your CSO should be able to point you to that/get you the info.

In clerkship land not getting an offer = deciding not to offer. Formal rejections are very rare.

Just from a random application, sure, but post-interview most judges will try to let you know one way or the other...at some point.Anonymous User wrote:In clerkship land not getting an offer = deciding not to offer. Formal rejections are very rare.

Re: 2017-2018 Clerkship Application Thread
Same anon from here a couple weeks ago. It's now been over 30 days since my interview and I was told I would hear one way or the other within 30 days. I'm guessing not hearing means bad news, but I'm still excited about this judge and knowing the idiosyncrasies of the process, I'm not totally giving up. Would now be a time to check in? How should I pursue this?Anonymous User wrote:I'm still waiting to hear back from a judge I interviewed with at the end of June for a 2017-18 position. The judge said I would hear back within 30 days, and it's been just about half that time now. (I was the first interview for the term, and the judge planned to complete 5-10 interviews before making decisions). Is it appropriate to mail a letter reaffirming interest? Or is that too pushy, given that the initial decision time has yet to expire? Thanks!

Tatel and Rogers have historically hired quite late.Anonymous User wrote:Motz has hired at least one. Not sure about more.kingjoffrey wrote:Any of these judges NOT full:

dude i'm pretty sure Koh had hired for 2017-2018 two years agoAnonymous User wrote:Anyone know about Chhabria, Seeborg, Gilliam, or Koh?

seeborg however usually hires pretty late by nd cal standards, so i wouldn't be blown away if he was holding off on making a decision. did you guys know he's sending clerks to scotus now? he deserves to be a feeder, amazing judge.

I'm just a 2l but I thought this thread would be good to ask about how to prepare to apply for clerkships with patent law in mind coming from a T30.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
