DCt judges usually have numbers on the district web page; for COA, you could call the courthouse, or check this thing called the Judicial Yellow Book, which lists all the contact info. Your CSO should be able to point you to that/get you the info.

Have any NDCA judges made offers this cycle?
Judge Chen has hired for 2017-2018. I've heard a few others have as well.

In clerkship land not getting an offer = deciding not to offer. Formal rejections are very rare.

Just from a random application, sure, but post-interview most judges will try to let you know one way or the other...at some point.

Same anon from here a couple weeks ago. It's now been over 30 days since my interview and I was told I would hear one way or the other within 30 days. I'm guessing not hearing means bad news, but I'm still excited about this judge and knowing the idiosyncrasies of the process, I'm not totally giving up. Would now be a time to check in? How should I pursue this?

Motz has hired at least one. Not sure about more.

Last I heard, Niemeyer still had one spot open.

Wilkinson is done.

Tatel and Rogers have historically hired quite late.

dude i'm pretty sure Koh had hired for 2017-2018 two years ago :?

seeborg however usually hires pretty late by nd cal standards, so i wouldn't be blown away if he was holding off on making a decision. did you guys know he's sending clerks to scotus now? he deserves to be a feeder, amazing judge.

Koh is not done for 17/18. She was soliciting applications from my school earlier this week.

I'm just a 2l but I thought this thread would be good to ask about how to prepare to apply for clerkships with patent law in mind coming from a T30.
