Still silence. Thought it would be easy to find a job after clerking, but apparently the litigation market is still saturated. Have sent out dozens of applications and only a couple phone screeners so far. Are other people having better luck?

Top 2% of class at T25. At a district court that is not particularly noteworthy. One year of biglaw. Have applied nationwide.Anonymous User wrote:would you be willing to state your stats and target market?Anonymous User wrote:Still silence. It all seems very random. District court too. I've had four litigation interviews in a major market, but have not heard from the vast majority of the firms I applied to, also dozens. I'm hoping things are just moving slower this year.Anonymous User wrote:Still silence. Thought it would be easy to find a job after clerking, but apparently the litigation market is still saturated. Re: 2016-17 Post-Clerkship Hiring Thread
Can anyone give some insight into what kinds of questions will be asked at biglaw post-clerkship interviews - other than "Why did you clerk" and "Why are you not going back to X firm?"

Does anyone have a sense of what the timeline between callback and offer/rejection is?

As a future clerk, I'm a bit concerned at the amount of difficulty people seem to be having at post-clerkship hiring. Has anyone from SDNY struggled in the market? FWIW - I'm straight through (no gap between LS and clerkship) and looking for elite lit boutique in NY/DC. If not, elite lit big law.

I would check in again in a month. I'm in the middle of interviewing for several DC/NYC firms that I applied for in December, so there's definitely hope. Apply early. I also know that Kellogg Huber type places are not done.Anonymous User wrote:As a future clerk, I'm a bit concerned at the amount of difficulty people seem to be having at post-clerkship hiring. It's fine. Others that I prefer more are in play, thankfully. Top third YHS, secondary market court.Anonymous User wrote:I'm sorry to hear that. Could you share your stats? Which court and relative ranking in YHS?Anonymous User wrote:YHS D.Ct. Clerk. Simpson Thacher rejection just now.

T20, top 2%, flyover COA, applying broadly in Chicago. One screener, otherwise radio silence. Starting to worry.

Chill. It's not March/April yet, firms are moving slow this year.
Stop reading tea leaves and apply to more firms if you're concerned.

How are COA clerks doing this cycle? Curious because I'll be applying next year.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
