above median at t-14 is definitely not competitive. I wouldn't even say above median at YS is competitive. I would put it at non-feeder circuit court levelAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 3:22 pm
Anyone knowledgeable willing to provide info on the general credentials needed for a chancery clerkship? Considering applying for a later term but have heard very mixed things about the standard academic credentials of competitive applicants. Some folks have indicated anyone above median from a T14 with a demonstrable interest in corporate work will be competitive, while others have told me it's on par with fed clerkships like EDPA/DNJ/DDE.

Haven't heard anything but anon clerk said a while ago that if we applied for CM or VCC there was a "small chance" we still had a shot....not the most insightful but alas...all we haveAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:18 pmnone on my end. do we know if anyone has received an offer?

Anon clerk, thank you so much! I know its not on you, but if we could get our rejection letters/emails sooner than later that would be greatAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 4:21 pmAnon clerk chiming back in to say that, to my knowledge, all 2024-25 spots have been filled.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:29 pmHaven't heard anything but anon clerk said a while ago that if we applied for CM or VCC there was a "small chance" we still had a shot....not the most insightful but alas...all we haveAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:18 pmnone on my end. do we know if anyone has received an offer?

Do you know if they are still making decisions about the 2025-2026 term? (like if we haven't heard back by now, should we assume it's a no?)Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 4:21 pmAnon clerk chiming back in to say that, to my knowledge, all 2024-25 spots have been filled.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:29 pmHaven't heard anything but anon clerk said a while ago that if we applied for CM or VCC there was a "small chance" we still had a shot....not the most insightful but alas...all we haveAnonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:18 pmnone on my end. do we know if anyone has received an offer?

To future applicants reading this thread, get to know your school’s corps prof. I would also put it at non-feeder circuit level overall. However, Chancery is not so strict on grades so I would keep that in mind. If you’ve done well on all your corporate law classes but have Bs in con law and crim, I would still label you as a competitive candidate.jotarokujo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 4:12 pmabove median at t-14 is definitely not competitive. Can you please provide details of how you heard back and what judge? (i.e., snail mail or email, how long after interview, etc.)
