Re: Columbia Class of 2016
I just got an email that my UAH application had been approved! Anyone else? Surely this is automated and they're not still at work at 10:30.
...though now I'm just terrified of when the assignment will come through — it doesn't sound like there's much left that fits my requests.
Any word on how long between when your app is approved and when you get your assignment?

I put 420 116th, Lenfest, and Lionsgate, but I sent Juliana an email that basically said building preference is not important if there were anywhere (other than the Bronx) where I could get a studio/1-BR.KingFish wrote: I haven't been approved yet. What are your top choices?
But since the consensus here seems to be that Lenfest is already gone, I don't know what this means about my chances.

I don't know if that's the consensus. I got the impression there were a large handful every year who got studios in it, and we've only seen a couple reported.309020 wrote:I put 420 116th, Lenfest, and Lionsgate, but I sent Juliana an email that basically said building preference is not important if there were anywhere (other than the Bronx) where I could get a studio/1-BR.KingFish wrote: I haven't been approved yet. There may still be hope for you yet in UAH, even if LS-specific studios/1BRs are actually gone. But there's quite a number of us without an assignment yet, and it seems like most of those who have theirs already applied for couples' housing.

Oh okay. It's definitely hard to figure out what's been taken based on the very small sample size of people posting about it here. I hope there's still something in LS housing — I agree that it doesn't seem like we've seen quite enough posts to say that everyone still waiting is doomed.beepboopbeep wrote:I don't know if that's the consensus. Also, I just saw on the Facebook page that someone called housing to confirm they'd received her app, and they said they'd be making a bunch more assignments Thursday and Friday, so maybe we can relax for tomorrow but won't have to wait too long?? Hope so!

Let's all randomly give each other imaginary housing assignments, a la Hogwarts sorting thread. I can't handle this wait.

Re: Columbia Class of 2016
Just got my assignment— studio in Lenfest!! So excited! It's just what I wanted (except for the cost, but oh well). I immediately put down the deposit.
So everyone knows, it was about 14 hours from application approval to assignment, most of that overnight.
Good luck to those still waiting!!

This is like acceptances all over again.
Has anyone tried to do the health waiver? I keep getting an error.

If you mean health insurance, I don't think the waiver forms will be available until later this summer.djwjddl wrote:talking about the meningitis one? if so, worked fine for me.kakistocracy wrote:This is like acceptances all over again.

Oh yeah, talking about the health insurance one. I didn't know if the forms were just not available yet or if I was doing something wrong. Thanks!smdpnp wrote:If you mean health insurance, I don't think the waiver forms will be available until later this summer.djwjddl wrote:talking about the meningitis one? if so, worked fine for me.kakistocracy wrote:This is like acceptances all over again.

Has anyone received their travel reimbursement yet? How long did it take after you submitted the paperwork and what form does it come in?

I received mine earlier this week and it came in the form of a check. Filled out all the paperwork during the April ASW and submitted it that week as well.ph5354a wrote:Has anyone received their travel reimbursement yet? Nice! My stipend is for the Monday program on April 22, so I probably have a few more weeks of waiting then.joiedevivre18 wrote:I received mine earlier this week and it came in the form of a check.
