I looked at the "furniture concession addendum" in the contract and it seems unclear as to whether the furniture will remain free for the two years following 1L, assuming that a resident wishes to stay in the Pavilion.Also, bear in mind that unless you live in a place that's furnished all 3 years, you're going to have to buy some at some point anyway; having a furnished apartment for one year isn't going to save you any money in the long run.

I doubt it. But it was supposed to cost $35. a month so they may revert to that. They also have an all or nothing policy. You must take all of the furniture or none of it. As an international student and someone who has lived in furnished company housing my entire adult life, that works great for me because I own nothing.
