No. I tried and it said columbia doesn't do that. You have to fill out that form they sent us.

I have a question re: Grad Plus and private loans (i'm doing private). I had been waiting to complete my MPN for those because Columbia has yet to come out with the 2013-2014 budget, and I want to make sure I'm borrowing the right amount before finalizing that. Online it says the new budget isn't finalized until June, so why do they make us complete our promissory note when we don't know how we'll have to borrow?

I've only used the CID/CUID for the questionnaire and the direct loan request form, not for the MPNs.

yea I got 420 W 116th, 1 bedroom. my SO is pretty insistent on having a kitchen where you can actually cook and a decent sized living room but we don't care if the bedroom is small.

How much is the rent for that --if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping for a studio in 420 116th, but my application seems to have gotten lost in cyberspace.

My ethernet charge is $0; does this mean my room comes with its own internet? I know some UAH residents need to call Time Warner to set it up.

you wont have to go through a third party vendor for your ethernet. you'll be using columbia's network. in other words, there should be no setup required when you arrive--simply plug and go. however, you'll still have to pay/month. I believe it's $25. Can't remember off the top of my head. It's $29

Are any of you requesting a budget increase from the Fin. Aid office to cover the added expense of living in Lenfest (it is way more expensive than the $1300 allotted for housing in the average student budget)? I called the office today and they said all we had to submit is a Budget Adjustment Form and a copy of the lease or housing offer. It seems pretty routine to get the increase. I just wanted to know I am not alone on this.

Also, are we only required to submit $1000 as a deposit to secure the spot? Not that $1000 is not a ton of money, but it seems low compared to usual security deposit + 1 month's rent requirements.

Just got my housing assignment! 1 bedroom at 420 W 116th. Really really happy about it! Does anyone know if there is a way to see a floor plan prior to moving in?
