Yeah, I'm in Hughes too, so will probably not get there on the 24th. That being said, I will immediately be down for drinking/sporting/exploring.

I know you'll be there since I've been bothering you with questions in PM.

But yeah, does that mean you get to move in before us. Maybe you should take care of the party preparations then.

Yeah I'll be there before you move in. Strictly speaking I don't think I'm allowed to help you just watch over and make sure no one dies from alcohol poisoning lol. The first weekend will probably be after you have your first three days of classes. Trust me everyone in the law school is going to want to do something after that.Lavitz wrote:I meant Volforlife.Lacepiece23 wrote:I'll be your guy's GCA (basically your RA).

Yes, from everything I've read, I'm sure plenty of people will be doing something.

I did apply, but I likely won't wait long enough to get a placement. I can't handle the uncertainty of my housing situation.Lavitz wrote: You're in Hughes too?!

Anybody moving to Ithaca with pets? I have two Siberian Huskies coming with me that have seriously complicated my search for housing...

On craiglist I've found quite a few apartments in complexes that allow pets. Have you looked through that ?highopes337 wrote:Anybody moving to Ithaca with pets? I have two Siberian Huskies coming with me that have seriously complicated my search for housing...

Yeah, I've done quite a bit of Craigslisting...unfortunately when I reach out for more information, I've almost always been told that they will either only accept one pet or the dog needs to be under 25 lbs. I'll continue to email CL posters until I get lucky, I suppose.

Got the e-mail acknowledging my second deposit. I like how even now they still dedicate the first paragraph to discussing what I should do if I decide to not attend. How considerate of them.

I've been in touch with a property management company about an apartment that might fit our needs...Anybody in Ithaca interested in checking it out for me? I can repay you with a 12-pack, or bottle of wine, or status as my newest best friend...

Edit: mailed out my second deposit today!

I wish I were in Ithaca right now. But unfortunately I don't think any of us admits are there. I know I've seen a few people doing undergrad at Cornell in the fb group, but I think the only one ITT was BronxBlu21, and he hasn't been on TLS in a while.highopes337 wrote:Anybody in Ithaca interested in checking it out for me? Have you considered asking current students in the taking questions thread? I know finals are over but there may be a few of them lingering in Ithaca, and they tend to check that thread more frequently.
Lol, you still check this thread?ph5354a wrote:You think they're in touch with JS?
No, I've just noticed that they include that line in a lot of their correspondence. I appreciate it since it makes me feel less guilty about potentially withdrawing.
Wait, really?toothbrush wrote:Her sister went to Cornell. Watch out.

Re: Cornell Class of 2016
I found a nice 1BR that I want to get. My concern is that I'll be pulled from a WL and no longer need it.
Do you think I should get the 1BR and sublet it til August (the tenant for that is lined up already) and then move in from there? Or let this one go and wait til August til I know for sure about WL's ?

I don't know but you could sign the lease and then do what that girl in the fb group is doing. As long as you find a new tenant, you'll be fine. If not, well, that's the risk.toothbrush wrote:I found a nice 1BR that I want to get. My concern is that I'll be pulled from a WL and no longer need it.

Yeah, I think I should be able to find a new tenant. The place is at the far end of college ave so it's prime location for last minute grabs.
Ahh.. Maybe i'll visit next week.

I'm in Ithaca to rent an apartment and just saw my boy David Boreanaz (aka Angel) walking down the street. This has to be a good sign.
