By roommate do you mean apartment mate, or literally roommates?

Prolly drop the blazer. Button down shirt and jeans would be fine. I did button down shirt and slacks.ph5354a wrote:Just to confirm, jeans with a blazer okay for ASW?

Wow, my first post on TLS in well over a year I think.
NYU it is my friends! I will be at the ASW tomorrow so look forward to seeing you all.
Secondly, I'm an idiot concerning financial aid (I didn't go through the process for undergrad). Am I really late to the party here? I just filled out and submitted Need Access - all I knew is that the deadline is April 15th, I had no idea it was rolling or something. Do I still have a chance for some decent $? Also, I applied to RTK and Jacobson - I'm guessing this means I have no chance of those either? Argh.
Anyways, happy thoughts. See some of you tomorrow!

I don't know about regular fin aid, I know that people have been recently saying they have received offers. I just submitted my appeal so I hope they still have some money! That being said... I think you are pretty late for everything, but I would definitely still submit I think they are still passing out scholarships.hellojd wrote:Wow, my first post on TLS in well over a year I think.

As for RTK and Jacobson I would expect those are done as well. An AnBryce just confirmed that all their interviews have gone out and interviews are this weekend so I wouldn't expect that RTK and Jacobson are still offering.

there's a school sponsored beer pong thing before and bar review (more free drinks) after. So yes, while sneaking whiskey into the actual show is BYOB, you can get a decent buzz on someone else's dime too.h_jane_w wrote:For those of you going to Law Revue: did you know it's BYOB????

Re: NYU Law Class of 2016
I got an email after submitting my housing app saying:
"Your New York University School of Law Housing Application for the 2013-14 academic year has been submitted. Once the application has been uploaded and processed by our office, we will contact you via your NYU email account to inform you if the application is complete."
Has anyone received that confirmation email saying the housing application is complete? I submitted the day the app opened and have yet to hear. Thanks!

Any thoughts on the new Dean? Or perhaps this should be posted on the Columbia page...

He's not much younger than Revesz was when he took the job. 41 vs 44.

Checking out guys, just withdrew. i have spent A TON of time in the village and know that all of you will love it. Ultimately 40K at NYU wasn't enough to contend with 75K at Chicago, but I do hope it trickles down to some of you. stay in touch guys and tear up manhattan

Re: NYU Law Class of 2016
Hey everyone, I have a question about finaid if you don't mind. I was lucky enough to be awarded a Dean's Scholarship for 25k 25k and 12.5k (so I guess 62.5k), and I was wondering a bit about how this works. Is this the most one can earn on merit (aside from name schollies; If I'm not mistaken it's not the highest, so why do they call it the Dean's Scholarship?))? How much will I end up paying total (approximately), including full government loans? Is this really this much of a savings? Also, they say I must remain in good academic standing--is this just saying basically "don't fail"? Or do I have to maintain a high GPA to retain this scholly? Thanks!

Use that as a great tool. You can input total cost of attendance at the top (for NYU, full budget is 78,000). Then you can plug in your scholarship amounts for each of the three years, along with anything you yourself might add. Then it assumes the rest is in government loans and shows you what your total debt on repayment will be and what your monthly payments will be.
