UAH i believe, but i thought most law school housing was on 115/116 st... and my roommate is a law student...

I just got my assignment. Any info on 535 West 111th Street?
But the move-in date is 8/30. Isn't the orientation on 8/15?
Am I supposed to find a temporary place to stay during that period?

That's odd...is this UAH? I think normal university classes don't start until after labor day, so maybe that's why they can get away with a later move-in date. I would definitely contact UAH and the law school housing office to see if they can intercede.

Yeah, so far, none of the assignments have been for law school housing, so if that's what you applied for, it makes sense that you haven't heard yet.

I called Juliana this morning and she forwarded me to some guy in UAH but he didn't pick up. I'll try again tomorrow. I also emailed UAH and they said that they can't change the move-in date. I really hope Juliana can do something

If you do need temporary stuff around there, I stayed at the Harlem Flophouse for ASW and loved it. It's just like two dudes managing this B&B so I'm sure they'd cut a deal for a longer stay. But I can't imagine law school housing would let someone have a movein date two weeks past the beginning of orientation...

Yeah I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm freaking out because I was in love with my assignment and now it's gone.

PSA to those with housing offers that may be a little low on cash: I called the housing folks and they allowed me to just put down my security deposit and hold off on paying the first month's rent until I arrive.

Nothing, but check out the facebook group --someone called and they told her that most if not all assignments will be sent out by the end of next week!

Considering that they've been sending out UAH assignments recently, I doubt law school housing applicants will hear back by the end of this week.

I just got completely shafted by housing. They sent me a much worse housing assignment then the one I received yesterday. The first one was everything I asked for and this one is just...not. So upset.
