I just got done putting this together... it was kind of scary look at, but as long as one has the ability to squeeze $30,000 out of their salary, they will be able to pay back sticker at a school like Chicago. Each of the tabs shows how much of one's income they can dedicate to paying back loans each year.

Obviously, this file doesn't include money earned from internships during law school or personal savings or anything like that. Even so, if one gets biglaw and has a spouse that can completely support them, they can pay off their loans in 3 years - so sticker at a T14 might not be a "bad decision" in this case.

It should also be noted that the figures on the top are after-tax figures

At the Day in the Life program today, they said that financial aid/award emails for the January wave of admits will go out by the end of this week. For the February admits, it will be by the end of next week.

I'm just going based on this. Of course much could have changed between that time (March 4) and now...

They came out with the Jan admit aid emails last week on Thursday, so it was accurate for the first part at least. Who knows if they got delayed in the meantime or what, but I'm still hopeful it comes out today.

Me too! $30,000. Not much, but I'm pleased, especially given that I'm under both medians. Really, really thinking I'll be at Chicago next year.

But it also has the lowest COA in the top 6, not that that is going to offset massive disparities in offers.

Also, can't beat this, "You will retain this scholarship as long as you remain a full-time student
eligible to continue your studies at the Law School; there is no minimum grade requirement."

I'll be there with my wife. We're getting there Wednesday and staying at staying at Hotel 71 downtown. It would be nice to get a schedule

I don't know when the formal schedule will come out, but I can give you the basic outline since it is pretty much the same every year. Looking forward to meeting you guys, it should be a fun weekend.

Thursday: Reception at the Law School in the early evening. Optional social events with various student groups. Bar review downtown (not a formal ASW event, but a good chance to hang out with current students)

Friday: Events at school all day. Mostly info sessions about a range of topics, but also tours of campus and the chance to sit in on a real class. It can be a pretty long day, so you might not want to stay out TOO late on Thurs. Friday afternoon there is Wine Mess at school, and then on Friday evening there is the pizza thing downtown (and people will probably go out after dinner).

Saturday: I think the mock class in the morning, and maybe tours of Hyde Park after that?
