So jealous of everyone going to ASW today! Who's going April 4??

I'm waiting to hear details from people attending this weekend. I got in ED and have lived in NYC for a number of years, so 1) I'm definitely going to NYU, and 2) I'm already very familiar with the school's neighborhood and the rest of the city. I'd consider going to a later one if people think it's really fun or something, though.

Just had the Fin Aid website update me to "Application in Final Stages of Review" to 3/8, after having that same status on 1/24. I guess this means they're re-reviewing me? Anyone else receive a Fin Aid date update without an email or final scholarship package yet?

Just happened to me too. Originally final stages date was 2/4. Did you apply for a named scholarship? Fin. Aid packages have been coming out on Fridays so maybe they're preparing for another batch today.

Yes, I applied for a named scholarship and was informed earlier this week I would not be receiving one. So they're preparing my inevitable $0 for today's batch I guess.

I applied for the Jacobson Law and Business one and emailed them about it. They said all finalists were contacted.

Sorry dude. Here's to squeezing at least a penny out of them. Did you email the general financial aid address or JD Admit? Maybe I should do the same so I can at least start coping with the disappointment.

For those in the know, do you think that all the email invitations for AnBryce finalist interviews have been sent out already? If not, do you think that a written commitment to accept the award if offered would convince them to make me an offer? As of now, I feel like I would honestly take it over H (at sticker or minimal grants) if I got it.

I hope I'm wrong, but I wonder if the status date changes are for those that they had been holding for review for named scholarships and then put back in the hopper after all the finalists had been contacted...

Nope, I never interviewed for IILJ. I know the first round of finalists did an informal thing on Wednesday before ASW, but I had been holding out hope I'd be in the second round... Maybe there'll be a big wave of cash money this afternoon. I don't really care about the named as much as I do about just getting some $$.

Nothing here. Between this and my sister's Harvard failure (she said the universe told her I would hear something by 4 today. She's not normally that weird, so I may have given that too much credence) today was a pretty disappointing day.

FWIW, I only applied for FinAid about two weeks ago. I went into Final Review on 3/5 and just updated again today. I didn't apply for any named scholarships but I am kicking myself for ignoring AnBryce. I don't mind late emails NYU! Especially if they contain money on a Friday.
