Re: Columbia Class of 2016
My only knowledge of it is from the blue binder thing under the Enroll section. I think it said on May 1, we would be able to register for law net using our LSAC number and some other form of ID (dob maybe?), but as of now, there's no way to register for it, so I'm guessing they haven't opened it yet.beepboopbeep wrote:I'm not sure I really understand it. I just found this from the Admitted Students site: http://lawnetportal.law.columbia.edu/we ... d-studentsph5354a wrote:My only knowledge of it is from the blue binder thing under the Enroll section. Re: Columbia Class of 2016
Just got my financial aid letter... honestly a bit disappointing (b/c family keeps pressuring me to take Penn)
But it's better than nothing, and I've been set on CLS for a while, so will be sending in my deposit soon. Looking forward to meeting you guys in August!!

Never thought I'd be saying this, but checking in. Was accepted on Monday, visited the campus yesterday and deposited on the spot. I've been stalking this forum as well as the other Columbia c/o 2016 forums for a while now, but always thought it was a pipe dream for me. Looking forward to meeting you all on campus this fall!

Lawnet is up! Just need your CUID or LSAC # to register. Assuming you know your DOB.ph5354a wrote:I saw that too and squealed, but then realized it wasn't actually open yet.beepboopbeep wrote:I just found this from the Admitted Students site: http://lawnetportal.law.columbia.edu/we ... d-students

Edit: It's not that interesting. But registering for it was the most exciting thing I've done all day, so, there's that.

Darn I can't log in to LawNet. I just submitted my deposit last night though, so that's probably why.

if you went to columbia for undergrad, your uni will remain the same. the "firstname.lastname@law.columbia.edu" email is an alternate e-mail address that you can have people send emails to, but won't necessarily be the email address you reply with.

Re: Columbia Class of 2016
just as an FYI, your "@law.columbia.edu" email wont be activated until July or so. The e-mail that you get activated now when you activate your UNI will be the simple "@columbia.edu." So for another few months, people won't know whether you work the night shift cleaning up the classrooms or attend law school at columbia.ph5354a wrote:And....email account set up instructions just arrived! So if we didn't receive or financial aid package yet, we do not need to deposit yet, correct?

Do you mean to imply that Columbia actually uses fully employed staff for their cleaning staff instead of outsourcing it??
