Eh I better get some more acorns its gonna be a long winter
The Jan admits heard back last Thursday, which gives me some hope that us February's will hear back today. But I've probably just set myself up to be disappointed.talesofyore wrote:I hope tomorrow is day when February admits will hear about aid!
I think someone earlier in this thread said that they were told by the office that tomorrow is the day. I'm just hoping they didn't change that, and of course, that if they do send out decisions it will turn out that they've allocated a nice portion towards decreasing what I have to pay.robot_socrates wrote:The Jan admits heard back last Thursday, which gives me some hope that us February's will hear back today. Any help my wife could provide is immediately cancelled by the $1,283 monthly tuition for UChi's daycareChampagnePapi wrote:No kidding. At least you got a wife to help you out. I'm FA lolWhiteyCakes wrote:I just calculated my monthly payments for the amount of loans I'll need to take. Ugh

Regulus wrote:For some reason I love concrete. I would kill to live in that one house in The Island that was made of concrete; I don't remember much about that movie because I saw it on a flight coming back from Japan years ago, but I remember the awesome concrete house in it. Perhaps this is why I also like Chicago's law school so much... it has that cold, heartless feeling to it.

I'm glad we'll be at school togetherRegulus wrote:I just got done putting this together... it was kind of scary look at, but as long as one has the ability to squeeze $30,000 out of their salary, they will be able to pay back sticker at a school like Chicago. Each of the tabs shows how much of one's income they can dedicate to paying back loans each year.
Obviously, this file doesn't include money earned from internships during law school or personal savings or anything like that. Even so, if one gets biglaw and has a spouse that can completely support them, they can pay off their loans in 3 years - so sticker at a T14 might not be a "bad decision" in this case.
Now there's a charge.
