Is there anyone who wants to rent an apartment in Ivy Garden? It seems we can submit application online. I am looking for a female roommate. Feel free to PM me.

Cannot wait to meet you all. :D

Hi everyone! Thanks to the fact that UVA has been on my short list for many reasons, plus the fact that they threw in a generous scholly, I will almost certainly be attending (wooo!). I'll be overseas for the ASW so I won't make it, and I'll be in areas that are pretty iffy in terms of access to internet. For this reason I'm hoping to arrange housing when I visit in early March. Does this sound realistic? After seeing how fast the Jeffersonian filled up I am nervous.

My understanding is that the jefferson is abnormal in that regard.

That's what I figured. I wouldn't worry if I weren't leaving, but I leave immediately after my visit and don't come back to the states til June, and I want to live alone. But hey if I can't arrange anything in time, you guys will all let me crash your couch, right? ;)

Jesus, I'm signing a lease later today. It's getting real up in here.

I'm also going to need to start looking for a roommate to add to the lease in a few months.

Also signing a lease sometime this week. Mine starts in June so it looks like I'll be there for most of the summer.

I've read that TLS is pretty self selective in terms of possibly gunnerish behavior such as arranging housing 8 months in advance. :P Hopefully that's true otherwise everything would be booked within the next few months! I still haven't even heard from all my schools yet, or gotten to visit UVA. Hopefully I'm not too behind the curve.

Mine too. Had to take over some guy's lease to get it, but it's as cheap as Jeffersonian (with a roommate) and furnished at no extra cost. Paying for two months I don't need sucks, but it's still cheap.

Just trying to lock down cheap places.

Ditto. Also, I have a dog so my options are a lot more limited. Otherwise, I would've just lived in Ivy.

Anyone wants to live at the Grad Centre? I don't have a car, not sure if that will make Ivy inconvenient.

Not sure if this was discussed earlier, but why is it that Ivy apts. tend to be guaranteed fall-backs? Are there so many of them? I was thinking of booking an apartment there within the next couple of days but I might be rushing it for no reason. Are they really safety nets? Spanks

Also very excited to meet you all!

Checking in! UVA is at the tip-top of my list atm.

I've already been looking at apartments. The Pavilion looks awesome, if pricey. Who wants to share a 2BR?

1-Bed / 1-Bath - $1,225 - $1375
2-Bed / 2-Bath - $815 - $900 - PER BEDROOM
3-Bed / 3-Bath - $750 - PER BEDROOM
2-Bed / 2-Bath TH 1364 Sq Ft - $975 - PER BEDROOM
2-Bed / 2-Bath TH 1589 Sq Ft - $1,000 - PER BEDROOM

Definitely on the high side. I'm gonna keep looking, but I'm keeping this place in the back of my mind. I wonder if they do 9-month leases.

Wow, I mean if you live there I am sure it would be great, but I feel like they are pricing out most students.

It's funny, I'm in Orange County, CA, and these actually look pretty cheap.
