Thanks for doing this, cuse. I think you're right in saying that looking at these larger firms at least give some idea of WUSTL's placement, but as with any employment statistic should be taken in a larger context. I'm excited to see what these numbers look like compared to peer schools.

Not exactly true.... you just have to know where to look. You think they'd publicize it a bit more. Here are the past few cycles:cusenation wrote: It's also difficult to track clerkships since the school doesn't publicly release that information.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2016
Eh, it's such a small percentage of the class that it probably doesn't matter, anyway. And if you look at the lists, very few of them are all three of 1) AIII, 2) district court or COA (as in not magistrate), and 3) not a staff attorney position. So, meh.cusenation wrote:oh wow I had no idea they published that...Now i feel dumb lol, thanks for posting these! Re: WUSTL Class of 2016
Dear All,
1. Congrats to new admits!
2. Regarding law school apparel me and XS20 lobbied the Bookstore and Bear Necessities. The Bookstore agreed to stock any designs that get approved by the school. Bear Necessities told us that they've been trying to get graphics approved for awhile but the law school kept rejecting them. But after our inquiries they contacted the law school again and the school agreed to work with them on designing new designs since there's demonstrated interest. The design head at Bear Necessities told us to email her any designs/logos that we like from other schools so that she can try and imitate them. She also welcomed our input on designs in general.
There are several licensing restrictions regarding use of university name/graphics, but she'll take care of that. If anyone sees any law school designs or graphics from other schools that they like, please PM either me or XS20, or post them on the FB group wall. And me or XS20 will include them all in one email to her. We'll wait one week before we send the email!
Bear Necessities also works with Nike sometimes to make apparel, unlike the Bookstore. So Nike apparel is on the table.
*Bear Necessities is a non-profit store that raises money for the WUSTL Women's Society (I think that's what they're called). They sell casual university apparel and other gifts.

dang Cuse, this is impressive work for a 0L. I haven't even purchased any law school apparel yet, but I'd definitely pick up a Nike hoodie.

Where are people looking at living? I've heard a lot of people end up around the loop/CWE, but I'm thinking about looking at the Clayton area. I really liked the feel of the area during my visit.

Yeah I've heard that CWE/Clayton/Loop are generally the most popular destinations for law students. Housing seems fairly abundant if you're looking at two-bedroom places...but it looks like a lot of the places don't come furnishedUnoriginalist wrote:Where are people looking at living? Dear All,
(Ignore this if you are in the FB group)
The rankings are coming out tomorrow. But while we wait for WUSTL's glorious redemption, consider that tomorrow marks the beginning of March Madness. We're having a mini March Madness pool. There is no buy-in. I am personally subsidizing. The prizes are as follows:
1st. Hoodie of your choice from WUSTL bookstore or affiliated vendor
2nd. T-shirt of your choice from " "
3rd. My most sincere congratulations.
If you're not in the FB group but still want to play, PM me the following predictions:
1. Final Four
2. National Champion
3. Odd/Even score difference for championship game (i.e. winner wins by 4 points, then even difference)
4. Actual point difference
-MOST accurate prediction wins. #4 is primarily just to break any ties.
-In the event of a true tie (multiple ppl get everything right) then multiple ppl will win the prize.
-If the winners end up defecting to other schools, then the prize will trickle down to next-most accurate predictor
Keep in mind that if you win, you will have to tell me who you are in real life at some point. Unless we set-up some drop-off/pick-up scenario lol
I realize the brackets aren't out until tomorrow...but the bracket is basically set. And you can spend some time mulling over your predictions while we wait for rankings

Re: WUSTL Class of 2016
We should probably bring this thread back to life now that we more or less have our class lol. How's the housing search going for everyone? We're only a few attendees away from getting dat group discount for the six flags trip btw, just saying

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
