Pretty close to signing for a studio in Boystown. It's good to see a bunch of the incoming 1L's are venturing beyond Streeterville/GC.

Did you do this remotely? With the help of a broker? If so, who did you use?

Has anyone been able to sign up for health insurance through Caesar? I feel like the e-mails indicated it would be possible to do so this month but either it's not working or I'm a dumb. I called and left a message with the insurance people but i figured I'd check in with TLS too.

pretty sure you gotta decide now cause the dispersements are done now. If it is just a couple grand i would err on the side of caution and take it out

I called and asked about this about a week ago and was told that we'd be able to sign up after August 1.

anyone here down for going to the Cubs game on Sep 1 or 2? we will be done with orientation and i think a baseball game would be a good way to relax before school.

also baseball games are a great reason to drink for 3 hours during the middle of the day

Thanks. That sucks that i'm done with my job on July 29th though. Was hoping for something seamless/painless w/r/t my insurance but i guess this last week will be fun navigating the wonderful world of healthcare.

You might have to do a month of COBRA with your current employer or go health-care-less for a few weeks and just avoid danger.

And I'm on board with the Cubs game idea.

if its the 1st then we get the phillies and if its the 2nd we get the marlins. Id prefer to watch the phillies since they are actually a mlb caliber team.

Anyone here do ED at NU, or for applicants, thinking of doing it? The 50k a year deal sounds pretty sweet. If you did it or are considering it, what made you make the binding decision. I assume you could probably get into quite a few of the other T14 schools with the same numbers.

True, but if we go on the first we might actually see the cubbies win

I didn't think the point of going to cubs games was to see mlb caliber teams

this is true... but we can at least pretend. You would think with the bulls, bears and even the blackhawks winning a lot recently somehow the cubs would find a way to not be mediocre.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
