Just wired money and signed a lease for an apartment. Hopefully that's it. Suddenly, it all feels a lot more real since this just eviscerated my bank account.

I was originally using Linsey Ballas from Koenig and Strey to find a suitable apartment, help me figure out buildings, and all of that. She was incredibly helpful and if anyone is still looking for a place, I would give her a call. I really trust what she has to say because she warned me off from a couple rooms. But yeah, if you're like me and moving blind and want some piece of mind that someone can do the heavy lifting for you and check out places, I would 100% recommend her.

Last year they did a booze cruise after spring finals. It sounds like its a tradition so we will prob get it this year

I just lost out on the too-good-to-be-true agreement at 900 N. Lakeshore. Verbally agreed to it on Sunday. I was hesitant to give out my SSN till I could verify the owner was who she said she was. Once I verified with the housing office on Wednesday, I sent her an e-mail saying I would give her my SSN. She just sent me a curt e-mail saying because of my repeated refusal to give her necessary info, the unit is no longer available. Dafuq.

Sigh, and my backup choice (at the Onterie) upped their quote by $30/month since Sunday, which brings it to an even $300/month price bump over what I was gunning for at 900 Lakeshore.
