On that note, would getting to know Kaddens early on as a prof help with clerkship placement later on? Does she seem to help people she likes more, or is she pretty objective towards everyone looking to clerk?

Consistently heard how NU Law students look out for each other and it's awesome. I'm looking forward to doing the same in the future with advice/outlines etc.

Here's a weird question: I'm assuming those that use TLS a lot actually know each other in person. Did you guys just PM and say "hey (insert username) meet at so and so place?"

Yes, Caesar. After you're logged in click Search For Classes on the left, under Class Search and Catalogs. Then just set it to search Fall 2013. It will return every class posted for the semester so you can ctrl+f "First Year Students only" to cycle through 1L classes.

Great idea. Here's the google doc for now:

For now let's just have the 2L/3Ls post your TLS usernames for each prof you had and we can PM you for requests.

Eventually we should set it up so the spreadsheet links directly to uploaded copies of outlines so you guys don't get flooded with requests.

I'll post it in the Ask a Law Student thread too and hopefully we can get a good database going.

On another note: did everyone else get the JumpStart Preview & Preparation Program e-mail? Don't know anything about it other than the e-mail that they sent me. It's tuition free, which is nice, but it takes place over August 5 to August 7 which is when the Law Preview program also takes place (Aug. 5 to 10).

I got the email too. But I won't be in Chicago until the 15th..
The email did say that you can only participate in one or the other too. So it's either JumpStart or Law Preview.
