I think it's still active. I don't think it's a big deal anyway.Rev. Cherrycoke wrote:Completely forgot about filling out the survey for the mentorship program.

Glad to see you're still Cornell-bound.
You were also the easiest, by far, to identify on the Facebook group. You were just, well, Lavitz on it.

Are you sure it's me? There are some pretty helpful people on there.

But yeah, I guess it is pretty easy.
And I have no idea who you are.

It's cool Lavitz, atleast I'll know who I'm looking for at our pre-orientation TLS meet-up...
About that, when and where are we getting together?

See, I'm not bothered by this. Because I know who you are too.highopes337 wrote:It's cool Lavitz, atleast I'll know who I'm looking for at our pre-orientation TLS meet-up...

I don't know. I can't move-in until the 24th, and that's the day of hiking / brewery tours. If anyone has any ideas on when/where to meet, feel free to brainstorm. You can always meet without me, of course.

Figured it would be creepy if I didn't. I wanted to wait until we were closer to starting because I'm still on the Chicago WL, but Cherrycoke preempted this discussion.

Grats on the full ride! Just sent an email to bursar's office, but not sure if I would say anything if I were in your shoesCR2012 wrote:I can log in, but $0.00 is listed at my amount due on August 7, 2013.Rlabo wrote:Any1 else have trouble signing up for net.pay? Hey Rlabo, the bursur office probably won't respond to you in time unless you call. If I were you, I would e-mail the admissions office and make sure they are aware of your situation just in case. At least, that's what seemed to do the trick for me.

Same thing was happening for me; I emailed the bursar's office last week and they said it should work by sometime on the 9th when the new statement comes out (today). It's still not working for me now but I'm gonna give it until early afternoon before emailing them again. Their exact words were:
"Good Afternoon,
You have not had any account activity in Net.pay at this time. You will be able to set up your Net.pay account once we generate our next billing statement on August 9th. You can see some of your account activity in your Student Center.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance."

Thanks for the info, makes me feel a whole lot better. Not so much worried about getting dropped as much as getting a surcharge sounds like im ok though if you got that.teachmehowtoraji wrote:Rlabo wrote:Any1 else have trouble signing up for net.pay? I haven't paid my bill yet either. I actually spoke with someone about it yesterday and they didn't seem too concerned. I guess it's pretty lax ?

It will take care of itself.
Although I hope it's sooner rather than later. I'm going to need my loan money in the next couple of weeks.

Re: Cornell Class of 2016
Thanks for the tip. I saw that, but was under the impression that by doing that, you would be deducting an amount from your bank account to pay a balance on your bursar account.mpd1690 wrote:Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let those with billing issues know that you can pay without having your bill. If you go to the net.pay, it is the second to last link on the left side. You can pay without a bill. Should not matter now that bills are coming out, but this is what I did. It will say pay without bill or something along those lines.
Edit:
You can find your total balance on the student center webpage.
Maybe I was wrong, since the agreement does say "The following form authorizes the institution to debit or credit your account." I'd rather just wait it out though.

Are you guys paying your tuition bill with scholarship funds and/or loans? If so, you don't have to do anything.

Yes, which is why I'm not doing anything. I don't want to accidentally charge tens of thousands of dollars to my bank account.Rev. Cherrycoke wrote:Are you guys paying your tuition bill with scholarship funds and/or loans? If so, you don't have to do anything.

You mean you don't want to see Cornell's tuition on your bank statement?Lavitz wrote: Yes, which is why I'm not doing anything. I don't want to accidentally charge tens of thousands of dollars to my bank account.
But I was just pointing this out since people are worrying about the payment deadline passing and/or not being able to access net.pay.

Re: Cornell Class of 2016
Yeah, I don't know if anyone else thought they had to do something to pay the bill, but I just assumed it would be automatically paid on the 7th. I wouldn't have even noticed anything wrong if I hadn't seen "You have a past due balance of $XX,XXX.XX" in the Student Center.Rev. Cherrycoke wrote:But I was just pointing this out since people are worrying about the payment deadline passing and/or not being able to access net.pay.
I agree that this isn't something to worry about, unless you need your refund now. Even with the delay, I don't think it requires any action on our part.
Edit: Assuming of course, you already set up your net.pay account and entered your bank info for your refund.

It's more the signing up for direct deposit/getting my refund that concerns me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
