I know multiple people who did the PAWS thing last year and liked it across the board more than the other activities that we did.

Oddly enough, lots of people didn't try for the play with animals option last year. Made me seriously question the wisdom of my new classmates

It was at PAWS Chicago last year. They had us do some minor grunt work when we first got there (filing, putting together those cones they use on sick dogs), but most of our time was spent with adorable furry creatures.

Yeah... once I saw "playing with animals" I don't think there was really any question as to which activity I would sign up for. I sometimes wish that instead of going to law school that I had decided to open up a cat cafe somewhere.

I had not realized cat cafes were a thing. Wow, that's a great idea.

The one that corresponds to "clerical work" was pretty sparsely attended if I remember correctly. I think there are set spots for each one though and the class participation rate is high so most of them probably fill whatever they can hold.


Also sign me up for the crowd who is glad cat cafes have not invaded America.

No one ever believes it because people like to bitch about being stressed and stuff, but you have a shit ton of free time in law school. I never got behind on TV or drinking with the exception of the like week leading up to finals in any given quarter, maybe 2 weeks in spring.

Chicago does schedules right. Plus, 9:30 torts will be the most entertaining class you've ever taken. Not bad to start the day with.
