The Sports Law club's fantasy leagues have been mentioned multiple times, and let's not forget that Chicago is the home of The League. I don't think any of us will be lacking for options

Just got an e-mail saying FinAid and loan info will be available at 8:30PM Central Time. It's on like Donkey Kong.

We can't open it for another 3 hours so this is just speculation, but if its the actual loan award then it should be taking into consideration scholarship awards (since legally you can't take out more than the COA minus scholarships). So they may be holding off on giving final loan awards to ppl that are still negotiating scholarships.

Are ya'll still negotiating/waiting to hear back on aid? If so, that might be the reason you didn't get the email.bethanyrose09 wrote:I didnt get one either. Why not just add two more spots? Who are you, Johann?

What, you think this is some TTT fantasy league?moneyball026 wrote:Cobretti wrote:You are #2 on the waitlistmoneyball026 wrote:Very late in the game but I want in on this Fantasy Football league. Badly.

In all seriousness, I'd be okay with a 14 team league but anything larger would be way too much.

Anything over 12 gets kind of stupid IMO. Injuries to anyone in your first few rounds become completely unrecoverable.cookiejar1 wrote:What, you think this is some TTT fantasy league?moneyball026 wrote:Cobretti wrote:You are #2 on the waitlistmoneyball026 wrote:Very late in the game but I want in on this Fantasy Football league. Re: Northwestern Class of 2016
So I'm looking at the explanation and estimate of costs. It allots $2,610 for "personal" expenses, which I'm interpreting to mean food and general living expenses (anything from toiletries to cat litter). Spread out over 9 months, that's under $300 a month. Now, I've been gainfully employed for a few years now and am used to a certain standard of living consistent with having disposable income, but does that seem worryingly low to you guys? I mean, assuming you use all of it for food, that's still like $9/day, which will get me a Big Mac for dinner, some crackers for lunch, and that's pretty much it.
Anyone with more experience with loans care to explain how this all works?

isn't "room and board" a category? Board=food.bananasplit19 wrote:So I'm looking at the explanation and estimate of costs. Re: Northwestern Class of 2016
Well the important number to look at is the total COL monthly allowance, which is about $2,940 for the first year ($26,460/9). I don't think that number is too low to realistically cover us.bananasplit19 wrote:So I'm looking at the explanation and estimate of costs. TIL what the "board" in "room and board" stands for.rinkrat19 wrote:isn't "room and board" a category? Board=food.bananasplit19 wrote:So I'm looking at the explanation and estimate of costs. It's still a really tight fit when you factor in the post-rent remnant of room and board, but not absurdly so anymore. Sigh, being a poor student again is going to be a culture shock.
