This is a really dumb question but it demands an immediate answer, and SIS is not giving it to me: do we get disbursed living expenses 2x per semester or is this it?

I guess it would depend on how you accepted your financial aid, but the most likely answer is you get paid each semester.

I think that's right. According to fin aid: "The Direct Loan is normally payable in two disbursements, one-half of the total in each semester."

Can someone else please confirm?

I know the whole "it's different for everyone" thing and time, if your going to chose anything to judge by, is probably a bad indicator but....

Honestly, much less than I was expecting. Outside of class time, I would guess 3-4 hours? I always feel like I'm looking for to do but can't find it.

Pretty much this. I've had plenty of time to watch some tv, play some video games, and decompress. Tonight I went to a movie and bought a softball glove, for instance.

I think the stress and time crunch comes from when memos are due and around exam time, and as such is probably a bit overblown.

Nah, it's probably not that. Some of this shit just isn't going to sink in yet. Also, it can probably depend on what you're reading. I know I spent about 3+ hours reading just Twombly and Iqbal, and I still wasn't sure I understood what the fuck was going on. Part of me is okay with not getting it and hoping the professor expands on the areas that are fuzzy.

listen, reading cases is something that comes naturally to some people, but not to others. it never really clicked for me. it's no big deal if you're like me, you can still do really well. i just always found it easier to understand what was going on after the prof went over it in class, so when outlining things made a lot more sense to me and i could put everything together. sure it might mean you won't smooth talk the more theoretical points of a cold-call, but who cares
