Cold Called
Anyone been cold-called yet? It was only the third day, but me and another person were picked in Torts. On the first day, the prof sent out notecards asking for name, school, w/e, and favorite song. She'll play a clip of two songs at the beginning of class, and whoever picked that song is up to bat for the day. Other people raise their hand and shit, but those two are pretty much the go-to's during lull periods. I was called on today a few times to answer questions about battery. I was really confident on my first answer, but after that my answers became more shaky. I kept my bearing and played it cool the whole time, though. The straight outta the book stuff is easy enough, but when she starts developing hypos in the middle of class, things become a little bit harder. All-in-all pretty cool experience to do it. I think the worst part was losing concentration for a couple moments. I would start day-dreaming and she would call on someone and I would be like "Shit, that could have been me!" It would feel like I just woke up after taking a short snooze at the wheel.

Re: Cold Called
Your mistake was not picking a Bieber song. You'd never get called on, because the prof would never play the song.

me and julio down by the schoolyard by paul simon. Meatloaf would have been awesome, though! Out of 4 songs, she's played mine, Don't Stop Believing, Last Dance with Mary Jane, and Hey Jude. Pretty typical so far. I'm really waiting for some just nasty rapfatduck wrote:WELL WHAT WAS THE SONG?

Someone needs to pick "Me So Horny" by 2LiveCrew just to see if she'll play it.

Baby Got Back is the obvious choice. The lead-in is all that would ever be needed.

FWIW, you did fine, OP. Today's class was a bit of a mess. Prof was definitely not liking the random questions people were asking, and it seemed some people were oblivious to how much it was annoying her.

Nope, I'd just never heard of it happening here! I kind of like it.
