Nope. Nothing in regards to need based aid either.
Or in regards to housing.
Haha, my letters better not have been lost in the mail before arriving at Hastings!

Has anyone contacted the school about updating the Cali residency app? The app available online now is for Spring 12'.

Anybody attending the admitted student day on the 24th? I have tried to RSVP but have not received a confirmation. Did they send out an email with times/locations/funnypics??

I got an email reply 3 or 4 days after RSVP'ing! I believe an email recently went out with the schedule (same for both admitted student days):surfSD wrote:Anybody attending the admitted student day on the 24th? I can't wait to start using the gym at the Tower. Working out in a former ballroom sounds pretty sweet.

It was a ballroom? I always wondered why the lights are so fancy.apollo2015 wrote:I can't wait to start using the gym at the Tower. Working out in a former ballroom sounds pretty sweet.

A ballroom or a formal dining room. One of those two, I forget which. (From what I was told on a tour I went on this past fall.)kapital98 wrote:It was a ballroom? For the admitted student's day last saturday---did most people go alone or bring a guest (significant other, parents, etc)?

Most people went alone, but maybe about 10% brought a parent.
I would recommend going alone, so as to make it easier to socialize with your future classmates.
I also recommend eating as much of the food as you want. They ordered a ton of it, so there was no risk of it running out.
The day was a ton of fun.

I fortunately have a job lined up. The vast, vast majority of my classmates do not, however, and have absolutely no idea what they're going to do aside from looking once they pass the bar. The only silver lining to this is I'm barely top 1/3, yet tons of my friends who did much better don't have anything lined up, including a few in the top 10%, so take that how you'd like.Mr.Binks wrote:How are your job prospects looking?hiima3L wrote:3L at Hastings here. Congrats! But wow even top 10% looking for work is harsh. Any idea what set you apart in the job search?hiima3L wrote:I fortunately have a job lined up. Are you a 3L as in you're graduating now, or a 3L as in you're graduating next year?hiima3L wrote:I fortunately have a job lined up. Would you say your friends who are top 10% don't have anything lined up because they aren't sure exactly what they want to do or do you think they have tried but being in the top 10% just isn't enough to land any sort of employment?

Re: Hastings Class of 2015
Hey current Hastings students:
Can any of you provide some some solid advice regarding housing? Would it be reasonable to think that I could find a pretty cool 1 bedroom apartment/studio in SF for less or equal to the studio/efficiency units at the Tower? Thanks!
