Just read an article on abovethelaw.com sort of bashing Cornell's JD to a certain degree... insinuating that it is worthless? What gives? Doesn't Cornell only place 2nd to Chicago for biglaw?

i'm not really sure. i mean, i'm not saying you can't discuss it here, because that's not my place to do so. it's kind of just a downer, but also a really poor piece of writing. not worth our consideration.

Its on the status checker. Up to $300, not too shabby. Hopefully I get it since I got the fee waiver from them already and I'm on the west coast. I won't be visiting unless I get the subsidy.

Well $300 would help, but a plane ticket for me in April is going to cost $500! Just for the plane ticket! And it's 3 months ahead of time

hi, checking in. I've been accepted and would love to attend, but am not willing to pay sticker. hoping for some financial aid/scholarship money.

i submitted the app for travel subsidy on friday and i haven't heard anything yet. if i visit it'll be the 2nd weekend (will probably go to W&M the first one)

Hey all, checking in here. Cornell is more or less in my backyard, so it would definitely be nice to stay close to home. I'm probably looking to attend the March 30th ASW, hope to see some of you there!

I would definitely support that choice. I would also second the idea of wearing something identifying so we know who the TLS gang is.

As for the subsidy, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to give the admissions department a ring to see if they'd make an exception and give you a larger subsidy for that expensive of a trip

I will probably attend the March 30. And I'm prepared to request the full $300 to cover the costs of walking from my apartment.
