Re: Michigan Law Class of 2015
Hi Summer Starters,
I'm a 1L at Michigan right now, and I'm looking to rent out my bedroom for the summer. It's a one bedroom available for sublet within a super cute 2-bedroom apartment for a female student to share with a female graduate student. It's decorated in an Anthropologie meets World Market vibe, with bright colors and clean design. The bathroom is shared with the social work grad student who is very friendly and outgoing, but also respectful of personal space. If you enjoy cooking, pinterest, occasional happy hour beers, and no-stress friendships, you'll love her! The bedroom includes use of the full-size bed, closet, dresser, desk, and bookcase. The location is about a 7 minute walk to the law school, and a 4 minute walk to Starbucks, the bars on State Street, and all the restaurants on Main Street. It's also just a few blocks from the weekly Farmer's Market in Kerrytown. A parking spot may be available.
Price: $660/mo, negotiable. Dates May 15 - Aug 25. Utilities (internet + electricity) are usually $40/mo. Laundry machines available in the building.
Message me if interested!

So, now that I've deposited, what else should I be waiting for? I know that some people mentioned receiving some sort of mailing, also when does my deposit show as having been made on ASW?

The "Initial Enrollment Deposit" mailing showed up in my Mailings section about a week after I paid; I got the letter and booklet a few days after that.JoeMo wrote:So, now that I've deposited, what else should I be waiting for? Yo, I know a number of you like hockey, and also a bunch of you are in Boston... if any of you fall into both of those groups and want a ticket to tonight's Bruins - Sens game, PM me.

Are you a Connecticutian? I mean, I definitely appreciate the bring-back-the-whale sentiment, but it's been like 15 years.Killingly wrote:Bleh. They came and invaded my casinos. Yeah, I wish they'd bring back the franchise and having the AH team now called the Whale is kinda confusing/weird. But when the Bruins won everyone flipped out for no reason.

Aw, I always liked Connecticutian, because it's fun to say and gave rise to one of my favorite things on the internet: http://www.vastpublicindifference.com/2 ... uppet.htmlKillingly wrote:I BELIEVE THE CORRECT TERM IS NUTMEGGER. ahem.Entchen wrote:

I grew up in CT but didn't discover the greatness of hockey until college in NH, long after the Whalers were gone, so I don't feel like I'm betraying my roots by cheering for Boston. I keep both (Bruins and Whalers) pennants in my room, though

ETA link.

If I end up at Mich we might have to be friends. I'll need some one to watch games with.

Not all, but I went to a fair number this year. Not too many of my friends like hockey, so it's been hard to find people to go with.

I know it's not UVA... But are law students not able to participate in intramural sports? There has to be at least 10 people at the Law School that would be interested.[/quote]ScrabbleChamp wrote:
Try UVA. There's no law school softball league here.
There are plenty of law school IM sports teams. Here's the list of sports and stuff
