During the train-ride from the airport, I dont think I would feel safe getting off anywhere but I suppose Tower City, is the city as bad as what the train route seems to suggest?
So here's the deal, Cleveland has some really bad neighborhoods, and some really great ones. I've lived downtown now for a few years now and I absolutely love it. The neighborhoods to check out are, Tremont, Ohio City, E. 4th, W. 6th, Coventry, Little Italy, and University Circle. Avoid anything between E. 40th and about E. 100th, although I personally never really feel unsafe in these areas. I just wouldn't walk around there after dark by myself. Cleveland has a really laid back feel, the people are nice, the food is great, and it's a big enough city but not too big. Oh, and the weather sucks.
