No you're not. I visited by myself last weekend though. I need to find options for Housing. I'm thinking Ivy...but it's so damn expensive.

Anyone else thinking about Jefferson Ridge? Their 1 bedroom with study has an amazing layout. Their apartments seem nice. I am going to check them out over ASW

Jefferson Ridge is decent, but personally I thought Woodslands was a lot nicer when I toured them both (ended up not going with either and live in a townhouse instead). They're both in the same area and have similar prices, so I would definitely check them both out.

The other thing to consider if you're thinking about living over in that area is to scour craigslist for a condo in the Villas at Southern Ridge. It's right across the street from the Woodlands and pretty comparable to Jefferson Ridge, but can be significantly cheaper. When my girlfriend and I were looking, we saw a three bedroom place for $1,100/mo over there. You've got a lot of people who bought at a poor time and are unwilling to sell in this market, and if you're patient you can probably find someone desperate enough to give you a killer deal. Personally, if I were looking over there, that would be my go to. Feel free to PM me if I can answer any questions.

Hey everyone,

I am 90% sure I'll be in Charlottesville in the fall, and I am beginning the search for housing. From what I can gather, it looks like the Jeffersonian and possibly the Ivy are out this late in the game. I'm visiting C-ville this Friday and am going to try to find an apartment and hopefully put in an application. If anyone out there has any housing suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I'm not opposed to living a bit farther away since I have a car but obviously I don't want to be more than 10-15 minutes from campus if I can help it.

Also, I will be looking for one or two female roommates. If you're interested, PM me and I'll tell you more about myself. (Or if you already have a place and are looking for a roommate, let me know as well).

My father is from a rural area and when I told him how much I was paying in rent a month, he said "That's the mortage on our farmhouse." I get the sticker shock :-p

I was just accepted today and have never seen the school but i have exams on the open house date followed by a 5pm flight to Panama City Beach for Spring Break. Has anyone taken an individual/ standard tour of the school, and if so did you find it helpful?

I visited by myself a few weeks ago. The staff is very helpful, tour was very informational. If anything, it's good to go to give yourself more peace of mind about where you're going.

The Penn/UVA overlap is my problem too! Duke's is also that weekend!

That's true, but UVa's staff and student body are nicer, better dressed and more fun. Schools are a preference thing, but no question UVa is a better weekend.

They all suck, but by law school standards a weekend at UVa is almost not work.
