Looks like I'll be flying straight to Dulles, then on to Cville from there.ucbkenn wrote: Me too. I'm connecting in Chicago though. What about you?

Just booked the cheapest hotel I could find, an Econo Lodge in North Charlottesville that is apparently only 1.5 miles from the school. Only cost $115 for my gf and I to stay there for two nights. Glad to have some extra gas money!

I'll be around for lunch. I'm getting in around 10 am, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing with all that time too.AssumptionRequired wrote:I get in Thursday at like noon, Damn I am gonna have some time to blow. Also going to be looking at ASW. Think I'm just going to put down a deposit on a two-bedroom and count on finding a roommate.

I'm thinking Ivy. But if it seems that unlivable maybe I'll look further out. I'd prefer Jeffersonian but that seems to be out of the equation. I will have a car but I've lived within walking distance to job/classes the past 4 years and I don't want that to change. Most likely planning on meeting potential roommates at ASW/online and joining up on their lease.t14fanboy wrote:Hey what have you guys being doing about housing?
When is everyone planning on moving up there? I'm thinking Aug. 1

My gf has a dog. Now that she is thinking of moving with me I will need to find a pet friendly place as well. From what I have seen for an extra deposit (maybe a couple bucks extra a month, also) having a dog is not a problem.pcwcecac wrote:Checking in.

If you haven't already looked into it, there are other housing complexes on Arlington Blvd. that are within walking distance to both Barracks and the school. I don't live there and I'm unfamiliar with their availability late in the season, but I know a friend who got a place pretty late.FloridaCoastalorbust wrote:I'm thinking Ivy. I've been inside the Grad Center and Arlington Park Townhomes. Both are livable, though Arlington Park is preferable, IMO.

^^
Thanks for the heads up daily.
Quick question: how is the ivy. I know lots of law students end up living there but I've read conflicting stuff about the management.
Thanks for the heads up daily.

Haha, thanks man. Best thing I've ever done. Excited to be going to school so close to the AT and other good hiking (and decently-okay climbing).mr_unemployed wrote:My god. Hey everyone, I posted in the facebook group already but figured I might as well say something here too. I'm looking for a roommate probably at Ivy unless I find more options at ASW. If you're interested pm me or just message me on facebook.

Officially living at the Ivy in a single. Too scarred from being an R.A to live with anyone else at the moment.
So am I the only sucker on this thread who can't go to ASW?
