I was planning on narrowing down my choices today/tomorrow and then making some phone calls to schedule appointments for Sunday. Right now I'm leaning towards 2400 Chestnut and The Hub on Chestnut, so I'll make some calls there. Join the facebook group and list the buildings you are interested in, and I'll make some calls :)

Edit: We're probably being silly - what are the chances that a leasing office will be open on a Sunday? Would anyone be interested in looking at rooms as soon as the program ends on Saturday? Or Thursday before the social?
I'm touring a few studio apartments on Thursday. So far I've only scheduled with University City Housing, but I'm down to see The Hub and other places.
I would be up for seeing some places on Thursday... btw, some leasing offices are open on Sunday - just have to check their websites/call.

What are you seeing in University City?
I'd also be up for coming along on Thursday. What time does everyone get in?

I'll be around in the afternoon (like 3-4 on) if people are available then

I get in at 2 PM - would be up for going to see apartments around 2:30 PM-3PM
Maybe I should catch an earlier bus then...I'm not getting in until 3:30ish.

I'm gonna be touring some studio apartments at the Branden (http://universitycityhousing.com/proper ... tments.php) and another building that's not on their website.

My appointment's set for 1PM, but they had another opening at 2:30; I'm sure I can call and switch.

I'm going to try, I think.

I wish ASW's didn't overlap so much!

You know what would really help me get excited about ASW, Penn? Releasing financial aid decisions.

Received an email "bulk of decisions 2nd week of April."

For ASW - is there any events that require dressing up? I'm heading to Spain after and want to pack light. Not needing to bring dress shoes/slacks would free up a ton of space. The faculty reception is "informal," but still. Thoughts?

Really? That's practically the deposit deadline at most schools.

If you notified them of earlier deposit deadlines, do you think think they would notify you either way a little early? Maybe that's just wishful thinking..

NOOOOOOO! And they said casual (from the email)

*Attire*

Casual attire is absolutely appropriate for Admitted Students Weekend. Honestly, you should focus on being comfortable, since it is a long day and students will be going out Friday night after the program.

I am a female, so maybe you are looking for a guy to address this, but I am planning to wear nice jeans and shirt during the day activities and maybe something a little nicer on Thursday night (but not like interview-suit nice).

Did Penn send you this email? Or was it someone in the know?

I'm in for Saturday night, bummed that so many leasing offices are closed Sunday and still bragging to everyone I know I got into Penn.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
