Status checker moved up to:
" HOUSING APPLICATION IS APPROVED
Your housing application was approved and information has been sent by email."
Next step is "UAH is in the process of assigning you housing."

And don't be concerned that updating it delayed you. I updated mine just a couple days ago.

I'm already looking at furniture and I'm not even under review yet. I think I've been watching too much HGTV while helping my parents sell their house/ apartment hunt.

Yeah. Decided I'm tired of furnished places. Time to get my own IKEA. I'm feeling rich.Bronck wrote: Hahaha. Did you select a preference for unfurnished places?

I figured I might as well save some money, so I went with furnished. I think I can find a way to survive. I'm living in an apartment with almost no furniture right now, so at this point anything is an upgrade lol

The problem is: I know it when I see it, but I don't have an eye for putting things together. I'm afraid I'm going to end up with a horrible mix of different styles clashing tackily. Worse yet, I'll think it looks cooljetissent wrote:I asked for unfinished for this very reason!blue_c wrote:I'm already looking at furniture and I'm not even under review yet. You said you've been watching HGTV. You must have taken in some design tips through osmosis.blue_c wrote:The problem is: I know it when I see it, but I don't have an eye for putting things together. What I've learned: If you have a million $ and a good contractor, good things are bound to happen.Bronck wrote: You said you've been watching HGTV. You must have taken in some design tips through osmosis.
I really wish I knew what the general layout (read: dimensions) of an apartment were so that I could start mapping a room out.

I suggest Queen bed, 60-inch LED TV, 7.1 surround sound to start it off

Can we renew the same apt from this year, but get it unfurnished next? Or would we have to enter the lottery again and hope for unfurnished?

For a bed, the only way I could get a queen is if it has storage:
Storage Bed
Even more storage bed
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
