I hear the Zeta Cartel is always hiring so if all else fails there is always that for plan B. Also, that line of work makes you not really care about ever paying off those loans.

If I have trouble paying of loans I'm turning Walter White from Breaking Bad.

That's actually better then my Zeta Cartel idea. If you need a Jesse Pinkman I am game, and I can even supply an RV.

I'm not sure if we are suppose to and I don't have all the papers UH sent me since I have moved, but are we suppose to send UHLC our final UG transcript?

I don't see anything on the brochure: http://www.law.uh.edu/admissions/admitted-brochure.pdf
or on the admitted students FAQ page: http://www.law.uh.edu/admissions/admitt ... ts-FAQ.asp
Best bet is to email them. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not required, but if your grades went up, you might be able to work out a better scholarship offer?

Oh boy! That is... not going to be fun. I don't envy you.
If you like them, I would give them a big heads up. If not, meh. You're in school. Past employer recommendations are probably not going to be a big factor in your landing a job in the future. (I would guess, I have nothing to base this on).

I'm going part time and working, so I shouldn't need them if I budget properly.
There's a few great threads on the Grad Plus process. Check them out for more info.

I only had to take out a small amount of GradPlus.mtyler19 wrote:Have y'all started the process for the GradPlus loan yet?
I accepted the awards on the myuh page. I never received something that the process went through. Should I have received something saying that the loan is mine?

Like 8 bucks if its in good condition. I came across all of mine like 3 months ago and looked up the value on some of the ones I thought were rare and might be worth something, and let's just say I can relate to Facebook stockholders...Titleist wrote:How much would a holographic Charzard go for these days?

I applied for a GradPlus and it took a week or two for her to post it to my financial aid account on people soft. Once she did her part, she sent me an e-mail letting me know the GradPlus loan had been added to my account. Does that help anybody?mtyler19 wrote:I accepted the Direct Unsubsidized one too and haven't recieved anything.Titleist wrote:I only had to take out a small amount of GradPlus.mtyler19 wrote:Have y'all started the process for the GradPlus loan yet?

Yes it does, thank you! I wasn't sure how long of a process it was and I didn't want to wait too long.katznkt wrote:I applied for a GradPlus and it took a week or two for her to post it to my financial aid account on people soft. I looked at it a while back and seem to remember it being pretty cool, but pretty pricey. It didn't seem like a really good deal to me, but maybe if I knew more about computers it would have made me drool.MissJewsbury wrote:Anyone checked into the Dell deal UH has for admitted students? I am debating the computer issue myself. I have a laptop for work that I will have to take with me everyday anyway. The idea occurred to just use an external hard drive and save all my school stuff to that.
It is big and heavy, but carrying around two laptops everyday for the next 4 years just seems ridiculous. What do yall think? Any part-timers in a similar situation want to weigh in?
Buy a super light weight, easily portable law school only personal computer, or save the dough and stick with the heavy work clunker (very good machine, and brand new, just heavy) that I will have to cart around anyway?

Worth the price- especially when you consider much you will use it and how much law school costs.

Just from reading this site I noticed people say to try to get a 14-15 inch monitor so you can easily put 2 documents side by side. Some people claim that 13 inches is enough, it would kind of suck to buy a laptop only to find out it is too small for what you want to do.katznkt wrote:I looked at it a while back and seem to remember it being pretty cool, but pretty pricey. So does that mean that everybody thinks that I should def carry around two computers? Or will my 17" screen work laptop work?zanzbar wrote:Just from reading this site I noticed people say to try to get a 14-15 inch monitor so you can easily put 2 documents side by side.
